The Bobcat ZT3500 is available with 48-inch, 52-inch, and 61-inch deck options, all offering a cutting height range of 1.5 to 4.9 inches (38–124 mm). Each model features the TufDeck™ Pro cutting system built with a 10-gauge steel top, 7-gauge spindle supports, and 7-gauge side skirts for durability. All three models use a flexible molded polymer discharge chute. Blade tip speed increases with deck size, delivering 17,365 ft/min on the 48-inch model, 18,142 ft/min on the 52-inch model, and 18,809 ft/min on the 61-inch model.
The 48-inch deck model is powered by a Kawasaki FX651V engine producing 20.5 horsepower, the 52-inch deck model features a Kawasaki FX691V engine with 22 horsepower, and the 61-inch deck model is equipped with a Kawasaki FX730V engine delivering 23.5 horsepower. All three engines have a displacement of 726 cc and are paired with a 7.8-gallon fuel tank.
Each model utilizes HG ZT-3400 hydrostatic transaxles with a 12 cc pump displacement and a 4-quart oil capacity. The ZT3500 has a top forward speed of 10 mph and a reverse speed of 3.5 mph. The electric clutch is rated at 125 ft-lb, and the charging system provides 15 amps across all models.
The machines are built on a welded 7-gauge steel frame constructed with 1.5 x 2.5 inch steel tubing. Overall length varies by deck size, measuring 76 inches on the 48-inch model, 80 inches on the 52-inch model, and 81.9 inches on the 61-inch model. Machine weight is 773 pounds for the 48-inch unit, 789 pounds for the 52-inch unit, and 832 pounds for the 61-inch unit. All models are equipped with 13 x 6.5-6 front caster wheels, 23 x 10.5-12 drive wheels, and caster arms welded directly to the frame.
