The Bobcat ZT5000 is available with either a 52-inch or 61-inch deck, both offering a cutting height range of 1.5 to 4.8 inches (38–121 mm). Each model features the durable AirFX mowing deck constructed with a dual 10-gauge layer top and reinforced with 3-gauge and 7-gauge brackets throughout for long-lasting strength and performance. The flexible molded polymer discharge chute enhances durability, while blade tip speeds reach 18,142 feet per minute on the 52-inch deck and 18,809 feet per minute on the 61-inch deck for powerful, efficient cutting performance.

Both deck sizes are powered by the reliable Kawasaki FX730V gas engine delivering 23.5 horsepower with a 726 cc displacement and a 7.8-gallon fuel tank for extended runtime. The mower is equipped with a Hydro-Gear ZT-3800 hydrostatic transmission featuring a 12 cc pump displacement, 4-quart oil capacity, and a 125 ft-lb clutch to provide smooth, responsive operation and consistent torque.

Built for durability, the frame consists of welded 7-gauge steel with 1.5- by 2.5-inch steel tubing, and the caster arms are welded directly to the frame for added strength. Both models ride on 13 x 6.5-6 front caster wheels and 24 x 10.5-12 drive wheels for stability and traction. The 52-inch model has an overall length of 79.79 inches and a machine weight of 995 pounds, while the 61-inch model measures 81.74 inches in length and weighs 1,043 pounds.
