The SCAG Cheetah II features a 13-gallon fuel capacity and rides on 24" x 12"-12" drive tires with 13" x 6.5"-6" caster tires. It is equipped with a 4-point iso-mounted mid-back seat positioned on an operator-suspension platform for added comfort. The drive system utilizes a Hydro-Gear ZT5400 two-speed transaxle with a 16 cc internal pump and 21 cc internal motor. Forward ground speeds reach up to 16 mph in high-speed mode and 12 mph in low-speed mode, while reverse speeds reach 8 mph in high-speed and 5 mph in low-speed. A foot-operated pedal controls the parking brake.
The mower is available with 61" or 72" cutting widths and features the Velocity Plus™ cutter deck. Cutting height is adjustable from 1.25" to 5" in 0.25" increments using an adjustable foot-operated deck lift pedal. The tri-plate cutter deck is constructed from three steel plates totaling nearly one-half inch in thickness and includes reinforcement plates at the spindle locations for added durability. The spindles are built with cast-iron housings and tapered roller bearings. Blade engagement is powered by an Ogura GT5 clutch rated at 350 ft-lb and includes an adjustable air-gap to extend component life.
