The Scag Tiger Cat is equipped with a 9.5-gallon fuel tank and features 24" x 9.5"-12" drive tires on the 48" and 52" models, while the 61" model utilizes larger 24" x 12"-12" drive tires. All models ride on 13" x 6.5"-6" flat-free caster tires for durability and reduced downtime. Operator comfort is enhanced with a 4-point iso-mounted mid-back seat positioned on an operator-suspension platform to minimize vibration.
This mower utilizes a dual pump and motor drive system with Hydro-Gear 12 cc pumps paired to Parker 14.5 ci motors, delivering smooth and responsive performance. It achieves forward ground speeds up to 12 mph and reverse speeds up to 5 mph, with a convenient foot-operated parking brake for secure stopping.
Available in 48", 52", and 61" cutting widths, the Velocity Plus™ cutter deck offers a cutting height range from 1" to 5" in 1/4" increments, adjusted by an easy-to-use foot-operated deck lift pedal. The tri-plate cutter deck is constructed from three steel plates totaling nearly 1/2" in thickness and includes reinforcement plates at the spindle locations for added strength and longevity. The spindles feature cast-iron housings with tapered roller bearings for long-lasting durability. Blade engagement is handled by an Ogura GT3.5 clutch rated at 250 ft-lb, with an adjustable air gap designed to extend clutch life.
