How to Finance a UTV

Create a Budget

If you’re planning on financing your brand-new UTV, the first thing you’ll want to do is set a budget for your monthly payments. Without a budget to guide you, it’s possible to go overboard and purchase a UTV that’s much too far out of your price range, even with a loan in hand. To create a budget for your loan payments, we recommend subtracting your regular expenses from your monthly paycheck. What’s leftover can be put toward your loan payments, and be used to save up for a down payment as you shop for your new UTV. 

Prep Your Finances 

Now that you have a budget set, it’s time to consider the other aspects of your finances. For example, your credit score. Without a good credit score, you may not qualify for a loan at all, or the offers you receive may have incredibly high interest rates and term lengths. To ensure this doesn’t happen to you, take some time beforehand to try and raise your score above 650. This can be done by paying bills on time, regularly spending ten percent of your credit card's credit limit, and making payments on old debts.
